10.11.2011: For the twelfth time the best wooden buildings in the country were awarded in Lower Austria. The kindergarten V in Guntramsdorf received the grand prize in the category "Public buildings". The coveted OIKOS-trophy was handed over during a ceremonial gala evening in Korneuburg.
Wood is both inside and outside the dominant material in this building. In its decision the jury underlined also that the project is nicely integrated into the park-like situation while it can be experienced by the children through generous views.
